Sybille Hassinger

It fascinates me to create a cosmos of its own, to create depth -almost like sculpting.’

Sybille Hassinger’s elements are color and form, light and line. In her fresh and vivacious pictures she plays with perspectives of foreground and background with great virtuosity. Opaque and semi-transparent paint change from pastel shades to strong colors, creating harmony and a kind of limbo. After her artistic studies in Dortmund in the 80s, she worked in Amsterdam and Paris. Since 1993 she has been active in numerous exhibitions throughout Germany and in Central Europe. Sybille Hassinger lives and works in Dortmund.
